The distance from earth to our sun is 149 600 000 km (1AU). Our sun mostly contains hydrogen (73%) and helium (25%) and some other gasses (oxygen, carbon, neon and iron).  The sun is a G2V type based on its spectral class.  Our sun is roughly 5 billion years and middle aged.
